  • RFID Spychips! Grocery Store Surveillance
    Privacy Storm Over RFID Chips
    by Mike Banks Valentine

    American consumers

RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification and is a term
that will become increasingly well known as usage of the new
technology becomes pervasive. There is no question that the
tiny chips, which enable tracking of physical goods from the
assembly line to warehouse to retail outlet to checkstand,
will replace the barcodes previously used for that purpose.

Some RFID chips are tiny, they are nearly indistiguishable from
dust in many cases. Pho ...

According to the September Issue of Popular Mechanics, a report written by Jim Wilson explains how human beings may some day have the capability to survive to be 180 (one hundred eighty) years old!

Based on research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology(http://web.mit.edu/biology/www/facultyareas/facresearch/guarente.shtml) and Professor Leonard P. Guarante; genetic makeup that rules our individual "time-clocks" can be virtually erased.

  • It's Never Too Late to Prevent Osteporosis
Calcium - a key element in the fight

(ARA) - Osteoporosis, a chronic disease that results in the deterioration of bone mineral density, affects nearly 28 million Americans -- 2 million of which are men. Despite these staggering numbers, this disease is often preventable.

Though osteoporosis has been thought of as a disease that affects mostly women, 5-6 million men are at risk of developing this disease each year and the risks increase with age. This year alone 80,000 men will suffer from hip fractures and one-third of these men will die within a year. It has also been estimated that dir ...

    Hepatitis B Testing Kit Recalled
FDA recommends recent Hepatitis B tests be repeated for confirmation of results. Ortho VITROS Immunodiagnostic HBsAg Confirmatory Kit Recalled Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics and FDA notified healthcare professionals and clincal laboratory staff of a class 1 recall of the HBsAg Confirmatory Kit due to an unknown component in the diluting solution used to test blood and serum samples that may produce 'Not Confirmed' results for samples found to be positive with the initial test. This can cause some results to be classified as false negatives. False negative results may prevent some patients infected with or carrying the hepatitis B virus from receiving necessary treatment. This is especially true for pregnant women whose tests show false negative results. The company recommends that previously reported results be reviewed

  • Find a Doctor
    Find a Doctor
This is usually a simple task. Open up your phone book (Yellow Pages) and look for one in your area; or ask your primary care physician for a referral to see a specialist. Better still, go online – there is an abundance of free
    directories listing doctors.

    How to find a doctor?
There’s no magical route to finding the right doctor. If you have a primary care physician just call him or her and make an appointment. If you don’t have a primary care physician, try the route suggested above. Or, if you feel you need specialist care, you can save time and money by goin ...

  • New Energy Bill: Reducing Our Dependence on Foreign Oil

The U. S. economy is feeling the brunt of skyrocketing oil prices as the nation’s dependence on foreign oil continues to grow. We need a responsible energy plan to reduce our reliance on foreign oil. President Bush and Senator Kerry appear to be skirting the real issues involved.

Growing transportation requirements combined with declining domestic oil production have led to burgeoning oil imports. Rising oil prices are having an adverse impact on the U.S. economy as evident from recent economic data and stock market performance. We need a responsible energy plan which will balance ...

  • Under the Knife
More and more men who are unhappy about their penis sizes have considered getting under the knife – or having surgery – in an attempt to enhance the appearance and function of their member.

Much headway has been gained in phalloplasty, also called cosmetic penile enhancement or augmentation surgery, but it still remains a very controversial method in penile enlargement due to unpredictable results and the high risks involved.

Phalloplasty requires two separate procedures: one to lengthen the penis and another to increase girth.

Surgical lengthening of the penis is achieved by cutting ...
