Glutathione - Your Brain's Master Antioxidant Defense
Free radicals and oxyradicals play an important role in the development and progression of many brain disorders such as brain injury, neurodegenerative disease, schizophrenia and Down syndrome. Glutathione is the brain's master antioxidant and plays an important protective role in the brain. According to Dr. Jimmy Gutman, "The brain is particularly susceptible to free radical attack because it generates more oxidative by-products per gram of tissue than any other organ." Many neurological and psychiatric disease processes are characterized by... abnormalities in glutathion ...

Enough is Enough
The largest issue in our country today is not being addressed by either Republicans or by Democrats. I love my children and I want to do my part to ensure they grow up in the best country in the world. Voters need to become informed about the irresponsible government spending explosion and vote these politicians out of office.
Our current politicians are not acting responsibly. When George W. Bush took office four years ago the federal government was over 5.6 trillion dollars in debt. Today the federal government is over 7.4 trillion dollars in debt. The debt has grown 1.8 trillion doll ...

Routine Genetic Testing For Cancer Risk Not Recommended
The US Preventive Services Task Force recommends against routine referral of all women for genetic counseling and DNA testing to detect the presence of specific BRCAl and BRCA2 gene mutations that may be associated with breast or ovarian cancers, according to a Sept 5, 2005, news release from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. If a woman has certain specific family history patterns that put her at risk for these gene mutations, however, her primary care physician should suggest counseling and possible DNA testing. The BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes help control normal cell growth. Women who inherit specific changes or mutations in one or both of these genes have a greater risk of developing breast or ovarian cancer, especially if...
Genetic Testing Still Smart Choice
Screening embryos for genetic diseases during in vitro fertilization offers couples the best chance for a healthy child, but a genetic glitch could potentially cause doctors to misdiagnose a small fraction of them, University of Florida scientists say. Citing concerns about the accuracy of preimplantation genetic diagnosis, the method a number of practitioners use to pick the healthiest embryos during IVF, UF scientists set out to study the procedure. Their work, described during a recent meeting of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, reveals the technique is actually highly reliable. But because there is a slim chance a genetic abnormality can cause doctors to misdiagnose embryos, some concerns still need to be addressed, the scientists said.......

Bodyguard Training in Mexico; My Experiences While Providing BG Training in Mexico
Mexico the country of Salsa, Tortillas and Corruption; I first arrived in Mexico City in February 2002 as an instructor for the WFB – the World Federation of Bodyguards. A Mexican security service had contracted Anders Sorenson, the Norwegian WFB instructor and I, to set-up a training program for BG’s in Mexico. I came through customs and the weapons search, shaking my head at the Mexican officials who only spoke Spanish, making my visa interview a complete waste of time. That was one of my first lessons about Mexico; almost all Mexicans dream of going to the US to live however, ...

Human Motion, Walking, Running and Gait for Identification
Identifying a human gait, walking patterns, running exists. Can such records be of value? Many think so. Why is this so important? Well every time Bin Laden is on TV no one knows if it is real or not. You cannot take a DNA sample, no retina scanning, fingerprints, well then facial recognition? Harder on video tapes at only one angle. Some ones gait could be viewed and downloaded by a sniper to decide if this is the correct target, although chances are it is best to kill all the doubles anyway, the fewer they have the closer you are to the primary targets. We can certainly thank the mo ...
