  • The Shoemaker And The Elves
Remember the story of the Shoemaker and The Elves?

The shoemaker would go to sleep and the elves would finish
any shoes he hadn't gotten around to.

Our minds function in much the same way, Our conscious,
logical mind is the shoemaker. Our subconscious is the
    elves.

Give your conscious mind a goal, gather all the facts and
let the elves do their work.

Many of our greatest inventions and discoveries have come
after the scientist or researcher had given up and the
    elves took over.

The structure of DNA had baffled researchers for years. Author:

  • Causes of Hair Loss
Hair loss, in both men and women, can be a difficult matter to face. Most of the time, the individuals who are dealing with hair loss focus solely on the prevention/treatment of hair loss rather than the origin, which may aid in the prevention/treatment of hair loss. Although hair loss causes vary from person to person, there are a few main factors that cause hair loss, such as heredity and aging.

In men, the most common causes of hair loss are heredity, hormones and aging. These contribute to the potential for men to lose hair. In women, some common causes of hair loss include poor cir ...

  • Bodyguard Training in Mexico; My Experiences While Providing BG Training in Mexico

Mexico the country of Salsa, Tortillas and Corruption; I first arrived in Mexico City in February 2002 as an instructor for the WFB – the World Federation of Bodyguards. A Mexican security service had contracted Anders Sorenson, the Norwegian WFB instructor and I, to set-up a training program for BG’s in Mexico.

I came through customs and the weapons search, shaking my head at the Mexican officials who only spoke Spanish, making my visa interview a complete waste of time.

That was one of my first lessons about Mexico; almost all Mexicans dream of going to the US to live however, ...

  • Canine Hip Dysplasia (CHD)

    What is Canine Hip Dysplasia?

Canine Hip Dysplasia (CHD) is a congenital disease that mainly affects large breed dogs. The word "dysplasia" means improper growth. Hip dysplasia can be described as a faulty or abnormal development of the hip. In CHD, the hip becomes loose and wobbly, eventually leading to a form of arthritis which is commonly referred to Degenerative Joint Disease (DJD). The degree of lameness that occurs is usually dependent upon the extent of arthritic changes in the hip joint. So too do environmental conditions such as amount of physical exercise, and weight gain co ...

  • Iraqi Christians in the Gap!
    Iraqi Christians in the Gap!

As we think about this war from an eternal perspective, the all-important
question is "what will the war in Iraq mean for the Gospel of Christ Jesus?"
We believe that this war in Iraq will give an open door for the Gospel. The
Gospel is what will heal and free the spirit of man to worship the true and
living God, Christ Jesus! The Gospel is the "bread of life"—the only answer to
the hunger and hopelessness of mankind. We want to bring the "bread of life" to
the Iraqi people who have suffered for so many years.

    God has been prepari ...

  • DNA, Fiction and Society; How it Affects Thought

A book called the Seven Daughters of Eve by Richard Sykes is worthy of a read and talks about what we have learned about the flow of human beings populations through DNA research. Thus it is safe to say that certain members of our species have developed differently and in different ways, meaning the brain also learns differently. As Scientists look at different human brains while doing various tasks and watch which areas light up with energy as it works through these different thoughts and tasks we are finding just how unique and different each mind really is.

Yet as we learn more abo ...
