  • Twins - Double The Trouble Or Double The Pleasure? Both!

If You're Having Twins..is it double the headache, or double the joy? Probably both!

    What Causes Twins?
The number of twins is on the increase, probably because of IVF treatment where more than one fertilised egg is placed in the womb.

Of the non-IVF twins, there are two causes:

    1. Two eggs are released during ovulation and both are fertilised by separate sperm - it is possible twins can be fathered by two different Dads! In this case the twins are not identical (even if they have the same Dad!). Non-identical twins are also known as fraternal, they s ...

  • The Monster's Mother

Somewhere in the world, every eight seconds, a mother is throwing her hands in the air and declaring that her child is a little monster. But for Echidna it was the literal truth.

Echidna was called the mother of all monsters, although her children numbered no more than a dozen or so, and many were exemplary offspring and a pride to any parent. They may still roam the earth in the quiet unseen places, waiting the day when a new Hero will come to challenge them.

There are many arguments about Echidna's exact lineage, but who amongst us can vouch for every union in our own backgrou ...

  • Benefits of Green Tea
    Tea and Cancer Prevention
Tea drinking is an ancient tradition dating back 5,000 years in China and India. Long regarded in those cultures as an aid to good health, researchers now are studying tea for possible use in the prevention and treatment of a variety of cancers. Investigators are especially interested in the antioxidants-called catechins-found in tea.

    1. What are antioxidants?

The human body constantly produces unstable molecules called oxidants, also commonly referred to as free radicals. To become stable, oxidants steal electrons from other molecules and, in the p ...

  • The future of the Human Species - Part 3: How do we engineer an Earth-like environment?
The process of making an unearthly world more earth-like for the purpose of supporting human life is called teraforming - Steven Wintergerst.

Teraforming Mars is the only way we, humans can live and reproduce thus starting all over again on the red planet. As stated above, teraforming transforms any world unlike Earth into an inhabitable place for humans. Of course we cannot convert another planet, Mars for example, 100% into Earth. However Mars must resemble Earth in the following aspects:
1.Thicken the small existing atmosphere and make it comprise the important gases required for ...

  • Build Child's Self-Esteem to Increase Safety
Low self-esteem in children leaves them vulnerable to the compliments and praise of a stranger. Children that receive continual support from home will feel good about them, have higher self-esteem, and be more self-confident.

Children with self-confidence are more likely to stay away from anyone that makes advances toward them will ill intentions.

Keep you child comfortable talking to you. If you make them feel loved and understood at home, they will be more likely to keep open communication lines with you, even on sensitive subjects. They won't have to turn to others for underst ...

  • Under the Knife
More and more men who are unhappy about their penis sizes have considered getting under the knife – or having surgery – in an attempt to enhance the appearance and function of their member.

Much headway has been gained in phalloplasty, also called cosmetic penile enhancement or augmentation surgery, but it still remains a very controversial method in penile enlargement due to unpredictable results and the high risks involved.

Phalloplasty requires two separate procedures: one to lengthen the penis and another to increase girth.

Surgical lengthening of the penis is achieved by cutting ...
