  • Smooth Sailing (Selling) In The Second Half of The Year

You can make a difference in the second half! You can't do it by doing the same things the same way.

You can make a difference in the second half every year! You can do it by thinking differently and being different. For example:

Always link your ideas to action steps. Always put them in writing. Always include dates. Remember, the old Proverb that says - "Talk doesn't cook rice." Nothing gets done if you don't do it.

You get what you expect. Change your expectations. Always expect to make your numbers. Always means always. Be optimistic about everything. Optimists make mo ...

    AN INTERVIEW:
    1. Can you briefly summarize why you think history is a weapon of war against people?

Briefly?, not really, except to say Sun Tzu wasn’t the first to notice that propaganda was the first and most important part of conquest. Caesars won more through secret deals and blackmailing the likes of Herod and the Sanhedrin than they ever did through force of arms. We saw how guerillas work against a conqueror in Vietnam and even in Iraq at the present. I have written about fifty books. The framework for a new history that is based on forensics and science or artifacts rather tha ...

  • The future of the Human Species - Part 4: Will we create our future?
Experiments have shown that human physiology becomes very weak in an unknown environment to the brain. Humans then start to panic. Problem is that humans do not necessarily want to show their uncertainty. So they hide it. When they actually hide this uncertainty, humans start to get stressed and this is the big problem.

When we get stressed, we become moody and cannot concentrate on what we are doing. Imagine an astronaut getting really frustrated in the middle of a mission on the International Space Station. This may be catastrophic! He seizes a hammer floating nearby in the zero-gravi ...

    Genetics News:

Seeking an Ethical Option to Embryonic Stem Cell Research
Seeking an Ethical Option to Embryonic Stem Cell Research REV. THOMAS BERG There might be an ethically acceptable alternative for obtaining embryonic stem cells, says a bioethicist. Legionary of Christ Father Thomas Berg, executive director of the Westchester Institute, a Catholic ethics think tank located in suburban New York, sees hope for a process known as altered nuclear transfer. He gave an overview of the status of stem cell research in this interview with ZENIT.Q: What is the ethical problem with embryonic stem cell research? Father Berg: The problem is that the methods currently used to obtain these cells...

Bush unswayed by Sen. Frist on stem cell research
CRAWFORD, Texas (Reuters) - President Bush in remarks published on Wednesday reiterated his threat to veto any legislation that would use federal funds to destroy human embryos for stem cell research after Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist broke with Bush on the subject. "I'm confident that I have achieved the right balance between science and ethics," he told eight newspapers in a roundtable interview on Tuesday. Frist, a Tennessee Republican and surgeon, last Friday endorsed legislation that would expand federally funded embryonic stem cell research, seen as possible cures to diseases like diabetes, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and others. Bush allowed federal funding for stem cell research in 2001 but imposed limits on it.

Maryland Stem Cell Advocates Form Not-For-Profit, Push for $25M in States Funds for Research
Maryland advocates for human embryonic stem cell research on Tuesday announced plans to form the Maryland Families for Stem Cell Research, a not-for-profit group that aims to generate support for such research, and called on Gov. Robert Ehrlich (R) to allocate $25 million for research efforts in the fiscal year 2007 budget, the Baltimore Sun reports.

South Korean stem cell research fraud
It appears all the terrific stem cell research going on in South Korea has been fraudulent. Stem Cell Meltdown: BLOG: SciAm Observations This is good news for scientists here in California - they are not as far behind as was once thought. They still have time to take the lead and be a world leader in this new world of medical exploration.

Frist Supports Federal Funds for Embryonic Stem Cell Research
The Media Cynic reports that Senator Bill Frist has decided to change his position on stem cell research and now plans to support federal funding for embryonic stem cell research. Frist's position is now against President Bush's controversial and highly restrictive policy. President Bush has already threatened to veto a new stem cell bill which passed in the House that promises federal funding of stem cell research. So, it is a promising development that the Senate might pass a bill that allows federal dollars to be put towards this promising research and allows more embryonic stem cell lines to be used. Unfortunately, President Bush could veto the bill -- as he has already threatened to do. This news report contains the full text of Frist's statement.

  • RFID: A Smart Tag Primer
Good things come in small packages. This familiar cliché usually refers to precious stones, but today it's taken on new meaning, in that small things are now protecting items we deem valuable.

Analysts estimate that the retail industry loses US $50B a year to theft and up to ten times that much to counterfeiting. High-end products such as cosmetics, fragrances and pharmaceuticals are most likely to be stolen or counterfeited. Many retailers and manufacturers believe that this big problem may have a tiny solution – RFID smart tags.

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is an autom ...

  • Youth In A Changing World

    Introduction

Children are the gifts of God to parents. That young child will in no time at all grow up to become a resposible future leader if he is well catered for. Therefore whatever they learn or grow up with is what they will act upon in their future.

Juvenile Deliquency is nothing but indiscipline among youth. An untrained child of today will destroy the future of himself and that of others. Remember Crowley in New york, the USA, Aninih and Shina Rambo, notorious armed robbers in Nigeria, they are today the world enemies. What shall we say of you and your children in futur ...

  • Causes of Hair Loss
Hair loss, in both men and women, can be a difficult matter to face. Most of the time, the individuals who are dealing with hair loss focus solely on the prevention/treatment of hair loss rather than the origin, which may aid in the prevention/treatment of hair loss. Although hair loss causes vary from person to person, there are a few main factors that cause hair loss, such as heredity and aging.

In men, the most common causes of hair loss are heredity, hormones and aging. These contribute to the potential for men to lose hair. In women, some common causes of hair loss include poor cir ...
