  • Is Your Domain Name On Someone's Wanted List?

A good domain name is, and will always be, essential for any online business. If you ask me, the internet is still only just evolving from infancy. It's a long way to maturity.

Still the world has come a long way since Ken Olson, president & founder of Digital Equipment Corp. etched his name in history, when he proclaimed less than 30 years ago, "There's no reason why anyone would want a computer in their home."

How technology has changed our lives within a span of a single generation. Sooner rather than later, more and more businesses will want to go online and cater to a globa ...

Unfortunately, many people are misinformed and are also misled by the many promises of the weight loss industry. Everywhere you look, you see or hear of people promising “Dramatic Weight Loss” with products such as “The Fat Trapper”, or “Exercise in a Bottle”.

Then you also have the hundreds of diets out there such as “The Zone”, “Sugar Busters” or “The Atkins Diet”. I’m sure you have heard of many of these yourself. You might have even tried some of them. Unfortunately, these products and diets are not the quick fix, or the miracles they are portrayed as. They are also usually very d ...

  • Predictions of Mayan Calendar Followers? 2012 is Just Around the Corner

Well have you heard the latest of the newest Doom and Gloomers? This on; the Mayan Calendar, which officially ends in 2012 the last year being 2011. Yah check this out; http://www.ioon.net/mayaonics/EngPages/summary.htm.

Actually either on December 21, 2011 or on October 28, 2011. The studies of the Mayan Calendar are interesting in that many have said the Mayans, Aztecs and event the Incans were visited by alien extraterrestrials. Perhaps, and that their calendar came from them. Cool, free calendars, you know I got one in the mail the other day from a company advertising their wares. ...

Genetic Testing Could benefit African American Women

United States : Cancerous tumours soon to be sequenced
The American Human Genome Research Institute is planning to draw up a complete catalogue of all the genetic anomalies that characterise cancer. As part of the ;Human Cancer Genome Project?, the DNA sequencing of at least 12,500 samples of tumours should be carried out, i.e. 250 for each of the 50 main types of cancer. Genes' influence on common drugs may affect health-care quality, cost
Chances are good that a medication you take is one of several drugs that can be affected by genetic factors, according to researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and the St. Louis College of Pharmacy. They found that 29 percent of patients seen at local primary-care offices had taken at least one of 16 drugs that can cause adverse reactions in genetically susceptible people.

Abuse Cost for Catholic Dioceses Tops $1B
The cost to the U.S. Roman Catholic Church of sexual predators in the priesthood has climbed past $1 billion, according to tallies by American bishops and an Associated Press review of known settlements. And the figure is guaranteed to rise, probably by tens of millions of dollars, because hundreds more claims are pending. Dioceses around the country have spent at least $1.06 billion on settlements with victims, verdicts, legal fees, counseling and other expenses since 1950, the AP found. A $120 million compensation fund announced last week by the Diocese of Covington, Ky., pushed the figure past the billion-dollar mark.

  • Headlines Have You In Mind

I've been scouring the business opportunity magazines and Internet sites for terrific headlines. It was my plan to take these headlines and retool them to fit my particular endeavors. But a funny thing happened on the way to the retooling shop.

I noticed a recurring theme. One that I didn't like. I call it the "Prey Parting" headline. It reads like this:

    HOMEWORKERS URGENTLY NEEDED!

    or it might say:

WOULD YOU LIKE TO MAKE $363.00 NEXT WEEK AND EVERY WEEK?

The sub head always says something to the effect:

    No Selling

  • It's Never Too Late to Prevent Osteporosis
Calcium - a key element in the fight

(ARA) - Osteoporosis, a chronic disease that results in the deterioration of bone mineral density, affects nearly 28 million Americans -- 2 million of which are men. Despite these staggering numbers, this disease is often preventable.

Though osteoporosis has been thought of as a disease that affects mostly women, 5-6 million men are at risk of developing this disease each year and the risks increase with age. This year alone 80,000 men will suffer from hip fractures and one-third of these men will die within a year. It has also been estimated that dir ...
