  • Canine Hip Dysplasia (CHD)

    What is Canine Hip Dysplasia?

Canine Hip Dysplasia (CHD) is a congenital disease that mainly affects large breed dogs. The word "dysplasia" means improper growth. Hip dysplasia can be described as a faulty or abnormal development of the hip. In CHD, the hip becomes loose and wobbly, eventually leading to a form of arthritis which is commonly referred to Degenerative Joint Disease (DJD). The degree of lameness that occurs is usually dependent upon the extent of arthritic changes in the hip joint. So too do environmental conditions such as amount of physical exercise, and weight gain co ...

  • Environmentalists Say GM Seeds are Bad News

Environmentalists say GM Seeds are bad for the environment, dangerous to the security of the world’s food supply and will cause millions to starve. Yet when one really looks at the debate none of those statements can be made in absolute truth. Why is it bad for the environment? GM crops were said to be bad by some environmentalists, but Monsanto has figured out a way to terminate the seeds, this terminates them from spreading to other strains of DNA, RNA of natural or wild crops. Thus helps the environment. It is a relatively brilliant “Green Technology” We get to have our cake and grow it ...

  • Birth Defects and Miscarriages and Infertility

Messing around with a mother’s DNA or the DNA of her baby is one of the things that can lead to a miscarriage and birth defects. DNA tells the baby AND the mother “when to do what”. Need a leg? Then you need some specific event at some specific time. If the part of the DNA that controls legs is either damaged or altered by some environmental chemical, the leg won’t be there. And you can’t add it later. It can only develop at one very specific time.

  • Causes of Hair Loss
Hair loss, in both men and women, can be a difficult matter to face. Most of the time, the individuals who are dealing with hair loss focus solely on the prevention/treatment of hair loss rather than the origin, which may aid in the prevention/treatment of hair loss. In men, the most common causes of hair loss are heredity, hormones and aging. These contribute to the potential for men to lose hair. In women, some common causes of hair loss include poor cir ...
