Smooth Sailing (Selling) In The Second Half of The Year
You can make a difference in the second half! You can't do it by doing the same things the same way. You can make a difference in the second half every year! You can do it by thinking differently and being different. For example: Always link your ideas to action steps. Always put them in writing. Always include dates. Remember, the old Proverb that says - "Talk doesn't cook rice." Nothing gets done if you don't do it. You get what you expect. Change your expectations. Always expect to make your numbers. Genes and Work Ethic
If you have good genes, you are blessed. If they are exceptional, you might be successful on that alone. Add work ethic and you will be successful and remarkable. On Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004, Linda Green retired after 23 years as a dancer in “Jubilee!” the longest-running production of its kind in Las Vegas. At 51, Green was the oldest continually working showgirl. A local columnist dubbed her the “Cal Ripkin Jr. of showgirls,” after baseball’s record holder for most consecutive games played. In certain respects, her achievement is more remarkable. In her ...

United Church of Canada Calls for Moratorium on New GM Foods
Our concern with genetically modified foods is not what we know about their safety, but rather what we don't know," says Mark Hathaway, The United Church of Canada's program officer for Biotechnology and Food Security. Hathaway explains that this uncertainty has led the United Church to call on the Canadian government to declare an immediate moratorium on the approval of new genetically modified (GM) food varieties until a more rigorous and independent system of approving, regulating, monitoring, and labelling GM foods has been fully implemented.
Black-washing the Genetically Modified Food Debate
By Barb Jacobs, Utne.com The biotech industry is scrambling to win international support for genetically modified (GM) food, and it's willing to go to extremes to get it. One such tack is recruiting people of color to tout GM as the cure-all for Third World agriculture.
Genetically modified food bears no label
Also known as "Frankenfood," genetically modified food is contained in more than half of the food consumed in the United States - and the average consumer doesn't know it. Obtaining information about GM food isn't only a difficult task for those in the industry, but it's nearly an impossible one for the average food consumer.
The Future of Food
I just watched this film The Future Of Food and was blown away by the amount of well documented information that shows genetically modified foods are a seroius threat to humanity and evolution, and that the companies the are producing these products are systematically destroying the earths biodiversity and possibly the future of humanity through this industry. I would urge everyone to watch this movie to see how truly fucked up the corporate neoliberalist mindstate is, and how are governments are falling under the control of the corporate elite in a true global plutocracy. Watch this movie and I guarantee you will say, " Fuck Monsanto" by the end of it.

Increase in Solar Radiation and Skin Cancer of Pilots
There has been a recent increase in the past decade of skin cancer among pilots; it is an interesting phenomena. Some say we have only recently noticed this because people are living longer and we are flying more international flights and planes are flying at higher altitudes. If you are a airline pilot or Military pilot check and see if what has been observed relates to your own personal observations. It has been noticed that more and more people have red faces than before. Especially pilots, bus drivers, construction workers and even a few of us work outside types. It has been obser ...

Paternity Testing - Are You Raising Someone Else's Child?
The dawn of the DNA test
Back in the 1700s, the best way to determine paternity was by a good hard look and the child, followed by a good hard look at the father. Enough coincidences and maybe a relationship could be proposed. A hundred years later, eye color was discovered to be a paternity identifier. This theory has had its flaws exposed because of recent DNA advances. We now know that eye color is determined by at least six alleles, or genetic markers. Paternity testing has become a lot easier and affordable over the past few years due to advances in DNA science. Although a ...
