  • Nothing here Folks
Some people say the Net is a great wasteland, all those billions of bits and bytes of data zooming around in all directions, without form or content. Such people are full of something savvy computer professionals call "hooey".

Fact is, it's almost impossible to spend any amount of time on the Net without accomplishing something, even when you don't want to. Now, doing nothing - that takes focus and discipline. Sounds odd, but the hardcore slacker must be the very picture of diligence in his fight against that old bugaboo - productivity. Let your guard down for a second and you'll be cal ...

Everything in our lives we have had a hand in creating.
What we think, feel and believe deep inside becomes real in
    the physical world.

Take for example the war in Iraq.

Cases of kidnapping and car bombings have skyrocketed in
recent months. Despite the best efforts of our armed forces
and the appointment of Iraq's Interim Government, the
situation on the ground is rife with violence and terrorism.

Rightly or wrongly, the justification for war was based on
two things. First of all that Saddam was stockpiling
weapons of mass destruction that posed a thr ...

  • Buy Phentermine for Your Overactive Appetite

As we know, a huge percentage of the North American (specifically American) population is obese. The statistics are staggering, almost incomprehensible, and growing steadily. Obesity rates in youths are higher than ever before, and they are not being given proper role models from the generation above them to encourage leading a healthy lifestyle. If you are a person who happens to be overweight or obese, Phentermine may be the prescription appetite suppressant you need to take to start feeling and looking better and get your life back on the righ ...

    Genetics News:

The Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation: Scientists Adapt Facial Recognition Technology to Scan the Genome for Cancer Genes

LA JOLLA, CA (MARKET WIRE) A team of scientists from La Jolla, California, led by researchers at GNF, have for the first time successfully combined microscopic cellular analysis with the genome-wide interrogation of individual gene function to find biological causes of cancer.

News : US Cancer Genome Atlas pilot launched

The US National Institutes of Health (NIH) has launched the pilot phase of an ambitious human cancer genome project. The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) will begin with a feasibility study on the intention to systematically catalogue the genetic changes associated with all forms of human cancers. Genomic changes are known to underlie cancer by disrupting normal mechanisms of controlled cellular growth and development; it is hoped that by cataloguing these changes it will be possible to develop novel therapeutic and diagnostic tools for cancer.

    NIH Launches Cancer Genome Project

Federal health officials yesterday launched the biggest genetic research endeavor since the landmark human genome project: an ambitious effort to categorize all of the hundreds of molecular glitches that turn normal healthy cells into cancers.

  • It's Never Too Late to Prevent Osteporosis
Calcium - a key element in the fight

(ARA) - Osteoporosis, a chronic disease that results in the deterioration of bone mineral density, affects nearly 28 million Americans -- 2 million of which are men. Despite these staggering numbers, this disease is often preventable.

Though osteoporosis has been thought of as a disease that affects mostly women, 5-6 million men are at risk of developing this disease each year and the risks increase with age. This year alone 80,000 men will suffer from hip fractures and one-third of these men will die within a year. It has also been estimated that dir ...
