  • Anti oxidants – Why Its a Must in Your Diet

While oxygen is the key to human survival, it is also responsible for maximum damage to the human body as ‘free radicals’. Free radicals form when oxygen is metabolized or burned by the body for its functions. Free radicals are also produced through environmental pollution and cigarette smoke

Tens of thousands of them are formed everyday in the body. These free radicals travel through the body causing immense damage to the cell structures and causes chronic disease, anti aging as well as other health problems including DNA mutations leading to cancer.

Thankfully the answer to su ...

  • Building A Better Body, One Brick At A Time
    Copyright 2005 Tom Venuto

The quest to develop a stunningly fit, lean and attractive body is a long, slow journey. It's not something you achieve overnight by popping a few pills or strapping an electric gizmo to your belly.

Which reminds me, did you know that by the time the FTC finally blew the whistle on the electronic ab belt scam, the makers of those "ab zappers" had swindled over $100 million dollars from unsuspecting consumers? Fortunately, some of those companies had to pay it back, and then some! The FTC charged three companies - Fast Abs, Ab Tronic and Ab Energizer - w ...

  • Self-Esteem

It begins with you, and your attitude. There are a lot of misconceptions about what type of guys women date. Most guys start thinking, oh they only date the rich guys with thick wallets, or those supermodel guys who look super hot. First off, if you're looking to find a date, you need to stop comparing yourself to other guys. This show isn't about those guys with Porsches and Ferrari's, it's about you.

Believing that you can get a date will help you become more confident. If everyday, you think of yourself as a loser, then honestly, you will remain a loser. Actions have to come from y ...

China : Genetics to explain the history of civilisations
Using genetic analyses, researchers from Fundan University in Shanghai have shown that the spread of the Han culture from the North of China to the South was related to massive population displacements, particularly of men.

Founding fathers & mothers: How many crossed the land bridge?
For the first time, we have a realistic estimate of how many ancients made that ice age trek across the long-lost land bridge from Asia to become the first Native Americans..Jody Hey, a professor of genetics at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, has developed a computational method that uses genetic information to create models of population divergence - where a group has split off from its ancestral population to pursue its own destiny.

Nebraska's population growth has slowed this decade, but expansion of the largest counties is ensuring that more people live in the state. New population figures from the U.S.

    Science and Technology
"The creation of a migratory map of mankind is the goal of a five-year project unveiled today by genetics researchers. The privately funded 'Genographic Project' is an effort to collect gene samples from 100,000 people worldwide that may reveal patterns in their DNA. Population geneticists in the USA, Brazil, France, Lebanon, South Africa, United Kingdom, Russia, India, China and Australia will take part. 'The relevance of the work is we are all, in effect, cousins, separated by a few generations,' says population geneticist Spencer Wells, the project's director, alluding to modern man's origins in ancient Africa. In addition to field research among hundreds of indigenous groups, the project will sell $99 cheek-swabbing kits for anyone curious about their genes. Funds from the kits will finance further project work on human genetic history." Learn more about this ambitious project in USA Today.

  • Human Evolution Timeline: Bible Quote and Science

The human evolution timeline is found recorded in Bible quotes (Book of Genesis). Adam's rib symbolizes the chromosome and is the key to the man ape evolution. In discussing evolution vs creation, many convergences like this one are found.

Someone who holds to the theory of evolution and denies creationism might ask why such an important matter as the creation of human beings would be in a symbolic message rather than in explicit language. And, after all, the Holy Scriptures don`t talk about chromosomes. That is a valid question, which shall be pursued below. First off, the main inter ...

  • The Shoemaker And The Elves
Remember the story of the Shoemaker and The Elves?

The shoemaker would go to sleep and the elves would finish
any shoes he hadn't gotten around to.

Our minds function in much the same way, Our conscious,
logical mind is the shoemaker. Our subconscious is the
    elves.

Give your conscious mind a goal, gather all the facts and
let the elves do their work.

Many of our greatest inventions and discoveries have come
after the scientist or researcher had given up and the
    elves took over.

The structure of DNA had baffled researchers for years. Author:

  • Aggressive Behaviour Seems To Be Triggered By Early Age Diet

The fact that diet directly affects behaviour is no news, on the contrary, this reality has been perceived a very long time ago, as the old saying "a man is what he eats" proves.

Studies have been performed to ascertain the degree in which this happens. A study of the scientists and researchers from the University of Southern California shows that a lack vitamin B, zinc, iron from the diet during the first years of life seems to influence behaviour later on.

Malnutrition in early ages, shows the study, predisposes to neurocognitive defi ...
