Produce More Sperm - Increasing Ejaculate Volume
New research by Israeli fertility experts has challenged current medical opinion, which holds that refraining from sex for up to a week is beneficial for men prior to undergoing some types of fertility treatment. Doctors from Soroka University and Ben-Gurion University tested over 7,200 semen samples for semen volume, sperm concentration and shape, and the percentage and total count of motile (active and moving) sperm. The samples were from around 6,000 men being investigated or treated for infertility who had abstained from sex for periods of up to two weeks. More than 4,500 of ...

The Shoemaker And The Elves
Remember the story of the Shoemaker and The Elves?
The shoemaker would go to sleep and the elves would finish any shoes he hadn't gotten around to.
Our minds function in much the same way, Our conscious, logical mind is the shoemaker. Our subconscious is the elves.
Give your conscious mind a goal, gather all the facts and let the elves do their work.
Many of our greatest inventions and discoveries have come after the scientist or researcher had given up and the elves took over.
The structure of DNA had baffled researchers for years.

My Genes Love Your Genes

Long life tied to 3 genes
Only one in 10,000 people will celebrate a century of life, and New York scientists have identified three genes that can help achieve that age. Having any one of these genes can confer a longer and healthier life. "People with exceptionally long lives o
DNA Scans Reveal Possible Location Of Lung Cancer Genes
With equipment designed to probe the smallest segments of the genetic code, researchers at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston and collaborating institutions have found something much larger: sections of the chromosomes of lung cancer cells where cancer-related genes may lurk. In a study in the July 1, 2005, issue of the journal Cancer Research, the researchers used single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) array technology, which focuses on the building blocks of individual genes, to identify regions of chromosomes where genes were either left out or multiplied over and over - mistakes that are often associated with cancer. In this effort, SNP (pronounced "snip") arrays have been used to find gene-copy errors in lung cancer cells. "In...
Religion: Dominant or Recessive?
A recent twin study discussed in a NewScientist article indicates that a person's genes may help determine how religious that person is. Until recently, scientists have assumed that religious behaviour was the product of a person's socialisation (i.e., "nurture"). The effects of a religious ...

The DNA of Top Achievers
Of course by now we are all becoming aware of DNA. It is the source code that determines who we are. When we look at DNA we can see what a person will look like, what diseases they may come down with, etc. This has been a tremendous breakthrough for scientists and will continue to be so for some time, I think. This got me to thinking about what makes up those who are top achievers. Is there a "DNA" to them? Obviously, all top achievers wouldn't have the same literal DNA but what about a figurative DNA? Is there a common "gene" that they all have? Are there common "genes" perhaps? I th ...

A Glossary Of Penis Enlargement Terms - Part I
Anatomy Of The Penis See Corpora Cavernosa and Corpus Spongisum below.
Corpora Cavernosa Two chambers located either side of the Corpus Spongisum with the rich network of blood vessels that supply blood to the enis. When aroused, the blood vessels of the Corpora Cavernosa are flooded with extra blood, which in turn causes the penis to become hard and erect. Penis enlargement programs and devices work by encouraging the growth the blood vessels of the Corpora Cavernosa so that they are able to hold increased amounts of blood.

Paternity Testing Regulation: Help or Hindrance?
Introduction The internet has opened up opportunities for many DNA laboratories to distribute free paternity test kits in hopes of a sale from returned samples. In Europe, France is the only country that regulates how paternity tests are conducted. Citizens of other European nations are free to satisfy their own curiosities and nagging doubts, while French citizens jump through hoops. Regulation and red tape protect some while hindering others.
Society Perspective Pro: In 1941, the French government adopted a law called “Accouchement Sous X,” or Childbirth U ...
