  • Human Motion, Walking, Running and Gait for Identification

Identifying a human gait, walking patterns, running exists. Can such records be of value? Many think so. Why is this so important? Well every time Bin Laden is on TV no one knows if it is real or not. You cannot take a DNA sample, no retina scanning, fingerprints, well then facial recognition? Harder on video tapes at only one angle. Some ones gait could be viewed and downloaded by a sniper to decide if this is the correct target, although chances are it is best to kill all the doubles anyway, the fewer they have the closer you are to the primary targets.

We can certainly thank the mo ...

  • Factors That Will Affect Sperm Health

The Sperm DNA Integrity assay (SDIA) like the Sperm Chromatin Structure Assay

(SCSA) is a tool for measuring clinically important properties of sperm nuclear chromatin integrity. Chromatin is that portion of the cell nucleus which contains the entire DNA of the nucleus in animal or plant cells.

The results correlate well with the potential of sperm from a given male to produce embryos that would be sufficiently “competent to produce a live birth. The SDIA utilizes the metachromatic features of acridine orange (AO), a DNA probe, and the principles of flow cytometry (FCM).

Building a Virtual Microbe, Gene by Gene by Gene

Researchers are trying to complete the ultimate feat of genetic engineering: to reconstruct a living thing, down to every last molecule. This would "lift biology to a new level," they argue, enabling biologists to be able to understand life as deeply as engineers understand the bridges and airplanes that they build.

  • Take Control of Your Metabolism:Quick Tips for Increased Muscle Tone, Faster Fat Burning, and Energ

So many people are talking about how slow their metabolism is and why they need to start taking the latest diet supplement scam yet they don’t even understand how the human metabolism works. So before I even go into how to speed yours up, I want to first go over some of the basics.

    What is metabolism?

Although there are many scientific ways for me explain it, and I could make it seem really confusing like most of the so-called experts do, but I won’t. I’m going to give you my extremely simple and easy to understand definition... metabolism is the rate at which your body burns ca ...

  • Why Are Antioxidants Important To Me?

Did you know that when we breath oxygen, it interacts with certain molecules in our bodies to create free radicals and that these free radicals damage important cellular structures such as DNA and cell membranes? Well, it is true and this damage may cause cells to function poorly and mutate. Free radical damage may lead to disease and aging.

We are exposed to huge amounts of free radicals from pollution, and pesticides. Every time you breathe, you take in millions of free radical molecules created by cigarette smoke, radiation, and automobile emissions. Every time you eat, you consume ...
