How To Invite Positive Change In Your Life
Gnothi seauton,, said Socrates. “Know thyself.” These words remain as true today as in the days when the portly philosopher in his rumpled tunic sauntered through the dusty agora of ancient Athens and pondered aloud about the riddles of the human experience. “What is man?” he asked. “What can he become?” This is a fascinating question. Once we set out to know ourselves, we also pave the way to become more authentic and powerful in our lives. While we may appear predisposed, due to genetics or environmental factors, to certain character traits, we are, as far as I can ...

Hidden Genetic Engineering
New Zealand genetic engineer Tony Conner claims to have developed a new genetic engineering technique which by using vectors based on the DNA of the target crop does not involve the transfer of foreign DNA (such as the widely used Cauliflower Mosaic Virus). Conner claims that plants produced using this technique "are, by definition, not transgenic", despite the fact that they have been genetically engineered. He says this would, in the case of some countries, move them outside the regulations intended to control the release of GM plants and that "this means the compliance costs involved in gaining approval for commercial use are minimised." he also says it would make them hard to detect as GM plants.

The future of the Human Species - Part 4: Will we create our future?
Experiments have shown that human physiology becomes very weak in an unknown environment to the brain. Humans then start to panic. Problem is that humans do not necessarily want to show their uncertainty. So they hide it. When they actually hide this uncertainty, humans start to get stressed and this is the big problem.
When we get stressed, we become moody and cannot concentrate on what we are doing. Imagine an astronaut getting really frustrated in the middle of a mission on the International Space Station. This may be catastrophic! He seizes a hammer floating nearby in the zero-gravi ...

Warning! Lack Of Exercise Could Be Harmful To Your Health
You know it’s bad when the Surgeon General issues a warning that lack of exercise is hazardous to your health. And that was back in ’96. Since then, the stats haven’t improved much, either: 25% of the American population is still sedentary and 60% do not exercise regularly (Reference: http://www.cdc.gov). For fitness minded folks, we could do worse than to follow the “hour-a-day” prescription outlined by the Surgeon General’s Healthy People Report. It’s just a guideline, of course and, as you already know, any amount of activity packed into your busy schedule is going to earn you heal ...
