    - ROOIBOS TEA has taken the world by storm. Both fermented and unfermented Rooibos tea are primarily sold as a health drink however, it is also used as a raw material in the cosmetic industry. Green Rooibos Tea is the unfermented version of Rooibos Tea and it has a lighter, fruitier taste than regular Rooibos tea. Rooibos tea lacks the astringent taste of normal tea and green tea.

  • Don't Let Acne Ruin Your Life--Tips, Techniques and Treatments to Help In Your Battle Against Blemi

Acne is the term for a disorder resulting from the action of hormones on the skin's oil glands (sebaceous glands) which leads to plugged pores and outbreaks of lesions commonly called whiteheads, pimples or "zits." The lesions usually occur on the face, neck, back, shoulders and chest. Nearly 17 million Americans suffer from acne, making it the most common skin disease in the nation. Although it is not a serious health threat, severe acne can lead to disfigurement, permanent scarring, and has a significant psychological impact on a person's self-esteem and outlook on life, including fr ...

  • RFID: A Smart Tag Primer
Good things come in small packages. This familiar cliché usually refers to precious stones, but today it's taken on new meaning, in that small things are now protecting items we deem valuable.

Analysts estimate that the retail industry loses US $50B a year to theft and up to ten times that much to counterfeiting. High-end products such as cosmetics, fragrances and pharmaceuticals are most likely to be stolen or counterfeited. Many retailers and manufacturers believe that this big problem may have a tiny solution – RFID smart tags.

Patient's genes predict response to chemo for breast cancer. Breast cancer patients could find out whether they will respond positively to chemotherapy treatment by testing for the activity of certain genes. Researchers analysed the genes expressed in the tumours of eighty-three patients with primary breast cancer. The researchers were able to predict which breast tumours would improve from chemotherapy in all cases of partial remission and nearly three quarters of the cases of complete remission based on the analysis of less than sixty genes present in the tumours. Men with BRCA2 gene mutation have higher cancer risk

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - The results of a new study suggest that men, as well as women, who carry the BRCA2 gene mutation have an elevated cancer risk. While this mutation is known to increase the risk of breast and ovarian cancer in women, male carriers appear to have a higher risk of cancer of the prostate and pancreas, and possibly the bone and pharynx, according to a report in the Journal of Medical Genetics.

Benign breast disease and genetics may increases risk of breast cancer

According to a study in the New England Journal of Medicine, women with breast cancer in their family who currently have benign breast disease are at a higher risk for developing breast cancer.

    Medical Miracle or Mistake?
    by Lady Camelot

Fundamental elements of life and the aspects of cloning bring dramatic advancement to the scientific and medical community; however, is this fast-paced artificial reproduction an intrusion of Nature or a doorway to infinite, medical cures?

In lieu of scientific developments in the biological mainstream, the human intervention of life and it's natural state are of utmost concern. Questions are being raised as to what constitutes life produced naturally into this world as opposed to man-made biocreationism. Current events depict a dan ...

The best way to protect your skin from acne-related scarring is to take preventative measures early on. But it is often true that people who suffer from acne are unable to prevent future scarring sufficiently. In fact, it is estimated that more than 10 million Americans end up with scarring caused by acne.
