  • What Is A Herniated Disc, How Is It Different From A Bulging Disc, And What You Can Do About It?

    So what in the world is a Herniated Disc??? Well, rather than confuse you more, I am going to give you my simple, easy to understand definition… a herniated disc is simply a protrusion, or sticking out of the disc. Think of a disc as a balloon being held in place between your hands… if you push your hands together unevenly the balloon will bulge out on the opposite side. This is what happens to the disc between the vertebrae.

    A Bulging Disc is the same thing as a herniated disc… just a different name.

    Cardinal Health said it's been granted a US patent on a method to create medicinal compounds using genetic engineering.


    Hidden Genetic Engineering

    New Zealand genetic engineer Tony Conner claims to have developed a new genetic engineering technique which by using vectors based on the DNA of the target crop does not involve the transfer of foreign DNA (such as the widely used Cauliflower Mosaic Virus). Conner claims that plants produced using this technique "are, by definition, not transgenic", despite the fact that they have been genetically engineered. He says this would, in the case of some countries, move them outside the regulations intended to control the release of GM plants and that "this means the compliance costs involved in gaining approval for commercial use are minimised." he also says it would make them hard to detect as GM plants.


    Genetic Engineering News: Mystery Shoppers' Frustration with Hospitals

    Mentioned: California HealthCare Foundation Mystery shoppers posed as uninsured patients requesting pricing information for elective procedures at 64 hospitals in five regions in California.
