Prevent or Delay Alzheimer's Disease
Argh! Where are my glasses? I put them down . . . to do what? And when? As the daughter of an Alzheimer's patient, this inability to keep up with everyday items, like my glasses and car keys, drives me absolutely nuts! Absent-mindedness has always plagued me. Now, it keeps me anxious and guessing. Is this an early sign of Alzheimer's disease? Could I end up like my father, crippled with this disease? I decided to stop worrying about it and act! I searched the latest literature to see what techniques (no prescriptions, thank you!) could prevent or delay the onset of Alzheimer's d ...

How To Clone The Perfect Baby
How To Clone The Perfect Baby Sheep, Cows, pigs, mice, donkeys, mules, cats and a rare wild african wildcat. What next then? You know what’s coming next...The perfect baby. To date all the human cloning claims have been a fraud because no DNA proof has been presented. However, the Korean’s cloning experiments have opened the door wider on human cloning. President Bush can bang his head up against the wall all he wants. He can get down on his knees and pray to God for the world to outlaw cloning. Medical News Today May 7 2005 2:45AM GMT
Being Human in a Scientific Age
Late last month, the British House of Lords approved a so-called "designer baby," escalating the debate over genetic engineering and other body enhancements. Fortunately, the new book More Than Human helps to calm hysterics and explain the issues.
Amateur Genetic Engineering
DNA Hack is website for Amateur Genetic Engineering. The site has tons of resources, supplies, how-tos and this interesting snippet from Michael Schrage in the June 2003 Technology Review: "Maybe bathtub biotech will be the next to capture the mindshare of the techie tinkerers. Maybe bioinformatics and the diffusion of genetic engineering technologies will inspire a new generation of bio-hackers. Certainly the technologies are there for those inclinded to genetically edit their plants or pets. Maybe a mouse or E. coli genome becomes the next operating system for hobbyists to profitably twiddle. Perhaps this decade will bring a Linus Torvalds or Bill Gates of bio-hackerdom -- a hobbyist-turned-entrepreneur who can simultaneously innovate and market his or her DNA-driven ideas Via Make
Does Human Cloning Really Hold The Key To Miracle Cures? One of the Worlds Leading Biochemists Says we Have it Backwards When it Comes to Cloning
Recently it was reported that South Korean scientists successfully developed a highly efficient procedure to produce embryonic stem cells that have been derived from cloned human embryos for therapeutic research. Many scientists in the United States are now saying that Korea has out paced the US because of the Federal ban on funding for embryonic stem cell research. They contend that the ban on therapeutic cloning using human embryos should be lifted in the interest of research. Ethical questions abound. In a recent poll when asked whether they support the cloning of human embryos the overwhelming answer from the general public was NO. However, the use of cloning for research had a certain level of acceptance. Do we have it backwards? [PRWEB May 22, 2005]

In lieu of scientific developments in the biological mainstream, the human intervention of life and it's natural state are of utmost concern. Questions are being raised as to what constitutes life produced naturally into this world as opposed to man-made biocreationism. Current events depict a dan ...
