Produce More Sperm - Increasing Ejaculate Volume
New research by Israeli fertility experts has challenged current medical opinion, which holds that refraining from sex for up to a week is beneficial for men prior to undergoing some types of fertility treatment. Doctors from Soroka University and Ben-Gurion University tested over 7,200 semen samples for semen volume, sperm concentration and shape, and the percentage and total count of motile (active and moving) sperm. Frist Supports Federal Funds for Embryonic Stem Cell Research
The Media Cynic reports that Senator Bill Frist has decided to change his position on stem cell research and now plans to support federal funding for embryonic stem cell research. Frist's position is now against President Bush's controversial and highly restrictive policy. President Bush has already threatened to veto a new stem cell bill which passed in the House that promises federal funding of stem cell research. So, it is a promising development that the Senate might pass a bill that allows federal dollars to be put towards this promising research and allows more embryonic stem cell lines to be used. Unfortunately, President Bush could veto the bill -- as he has already threatened to do. This news report contains the full text of Frist's statement.

The Burnham Institute will receive $3 M over the next three years from the National Institutes of Health ("NIH") to develop an "Exploratory Center for Human Embryonic Stem Cell Research". The grant provides funds to support research that will advance understanding of the fundamental biology of human embryonic stem cells ("hESCs"), as well as facilities for supporting the work and training of other investigators in the basic methods of growing and using human stem cells.
