  • Produce More Sperm - Increasing Ejaculate Volume

New research by Israeli fertility experts has challenged current medical opinion, which holds that refraining from sex for up to a week is beneficial for men prior to undergoing some types of fertility treatment.

Doctors from Soroka University and Ben-Gurion University tested over 7,200 semen samples for semen volume, sperm concentration and shape, and the percentage and total count of motile (active and moving) sperm. The samples were from around 6,000 men being investigated or treated for infertility who had abstained from sex for periods of up to two weeks.

    More than 4,500 of ...

  • Depressed? It’s Gotta All Be Our Parents’ Fault!
A newspaper article from the Associated Press a while back reports that scientists say they’ve found a gene (CHRM2) that’s linked to alcoholism and depression. An expert from another organization says that if these preliminary findings hold true that it will provide another “potential target for developing new drugs to treat depression and alcoholism”.

Well, I’m excited now… Oh, don’t get me wrong. I’m sure there are many, many people who came into this earthly existence so hard-wired with these tendencies that the proper drug or combination of drugs would be extremely beneficial. And commo ...

  • Lower Cholesterol Levels Are Critical To Good Health
Article: Lower Cholesterol Levels Are Critical To Good Health By Phil Beckett Copyright © Physique Concepts Inc.

Can any man really lower his cholesterol?

Lower cholesterol levels should be a health concern of every man.

Heart disease is the number one killer among so-called healthy men in Western world today. More than 40% of men will die from it.

What is particularly disturbing is that strokes and heart attacks are becoming much more common in younger men.

It seems that younger men, even those who look physically like they are in good health, are dying because they can't lower ...

Lack of coherent cloning policies reflects polarized debate, limited understanding, study says

  • Developing a Fitness Attitude - A Healthy Weight Loss Program Approach

Exercise is Not a Four Letter Word

It's obvious that the word 'exercise' has more than four letters, but many of us will agree it sounds like a four-letter word.

Indeed, many people feel so negatively about exercise, experts often advise using the term 'physical activity' instead.

No matter what you call it, moving your body is critical to feeling and staying well. And to achieve and maintain healthy weights, it's key. The sticking point generally comes when we try to do it. (Regardless what Nike says, there's a bit more to it sometimes than just doing it.)

    So ...

  • DNAology!
The DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) is a unique molecule. It contains every single piece of genetic information of a person; just like the memory card of a PC, which contains all the data. The major difference between the DNA and the memory card of your PC though is that the microscopic DNA helix can store more data – actually about a thousand times more. So, scientists have got the bright idea of mimicking the DNA’s data-storage secrets for use on your PC’s memory card. This will lead to a more compact data processing and storage circuitry.
