What Is Cancer, Anyway?
Cancer is not some foreign invader which has to be cut, burned or poisoned in hopes that it will die before the patient dies. No, cancer is simply a temporoary malfunction in your normal cell division process.
Each of has about 75 trillion cells in our body. Virtually all of them replace themselves many times during our lifetimes. How many cells? Well, it's 75,000,000,000,000. That's a lot. They have various life cycles, but in about 7 years, they have all been regenerated. Amazing? I'll say!
So, on an average day, about 29 billion cells in your body repl ...

REGULAR ROOIBOS TEA VERSUS GREEN ROOIBOS TEA - ROOIBOS TEA has taken the world by storm. Both fermented and unfermented Rooibos tea are primarily sold as a health drink however, it is also used as a raw material in the cosmetic industry. Do you have Eczema or Dermatitis?
Copyright 2005 Michael Brooks
Although many people believe that eczema and dermatitis are separate conditions, they are actually one and the same. The most common form of this skin condition is atopic eczema. Depending on what study you read, there are between 18 and 34 million people that exhibit symptoms of eczema. Atopic eczema is often genetic and can be associated with a family history of environmental sensitivities and allergic conditions like asthma or hay fever.
What are the symptoms?
One of the most common symptoms associated with eczema is extreme itchiness. Spea ...

Getting the Argument Right I was listening to the Tammy Bruce Show yesterday and was frustrated with her mischaracterization of the abortion/Embryonic Stem Cell arguments. Most who oppose Pro-Life positions have good intentions, but when human life is at risk, there's no excuse for ignorance. Bruce is a big Bush supporter but when the President recently said:"I'm very concerned about cloning. I worry about a world in which cloning...

Does Human Cloning Really Hold The Key To Miracle Cures? One of the Worlds Leading Biochemists Says we Have it Backwards When it Comes to Cloning Recently it was reported that South Korean scientists successfully developed a highly efficient procedure to produce embryonic stem cells that have been derived from cloned human embryos for therapeutic research. Many scientists in the United States are now saying that Korea has out paced the US because of the Federal ban on funding for embryonic stem cell research. They contend that the ban on therapeutic cloning using human embryos should be lifted in the interest of research. Ethical questions abound. In a recent poll when asked whether they support the cloning of human embryos the overwhelming answer from the general public was NO. However, the use of cloning for research had a certain level of acceptance. Do we have it backwards? [PRWEB May 22, 2005]
Take a dumb argument and make it dumber I wrote earlier about a particularly dumb argument against global warming–the argument that an unusually cold day shows that global warming just isn’t happening. Well, there doesn’t seem to be an argument dumb enough that someone can’t make it dumber. Take it away, Tim Blair: Comical protest news from Montreal: [...]

Developing a Fitness Attitude - A Healthy Weight Loss Program Approach
Exercise is Not a Four Letter Word It's obvious that the word 'exercise' has more than four letters, but many of us will agree it sounds like a four-letter word. Indeed, many people feel so negatively about exercise, experts often advise using the term 'physical activity' instead. No matter what you call it, moving your body is critical to feeling and staying well. And to achieve and maintain healthy weights, it's key. The sticking point generally comes when we try to do it. (Regardless what Nike says, there's a bit more to it sometimes than just doing it.) So ...

Problem Solving: Puffy Eyes by Natalie Katsman http://www.natural-aid.com
Let's admit it: puffy eyes do not look very attractive. Some people are born with them, but for most of us it is a sign of aging. Even if you don't show the unsightly condition now, you may develop it ...

Solution to Obesity
First of all we need to find out a reason for this growing mountain of fat that is killing us. We know now that the traditional explanation - that of overeating - is wrong. People eat when they’re hungry, and they stop when they’re full. The problem lies in hormonal imbalance inside our bodies, an imbalance that deprives us of the energy to live life to the full, and instead stores the energy as fat. What influences human hormonal balance? The three biggest factors are: genetics, diet, and stress. There are no prizes for guessing which one of those three is the easiest to ...
